1 Pile up 4 corn tortillas and cut them into 6 triangle wedges, like a pie. 2 Line a baking sheet with paper towels and set aside. 3 Heat 1 cup of oil in a frying pan to (about 350°F or 170°C). 4 Add a single layer of the tortilla wedges into the hot oil. 9 Be very careful. Fry in batches. 10 Do not crowd the pan or they will not fry properly. 5 Fry for 1 minute, then flip to fry evenly. 6 Remove with a strainer and place onto the tray lined with kitchen paper towels. 11 Add salt (if desired) while they are still hot. 7 Repeat until all the tortilla wedges have been fried. 8 Serve with salsa, guacamole, or make chilaquiles!View original recipe
